New College Swindon (formerly Swindon College)
Swindon College merged into New College Swindon in August 2020, and the North Star Avenue site is now operated as New College Swindon’s North Star Campus, which remains the base for hair, beauty and barbering training at the address.
Barbering at the campus leads to the VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Barbering, listed by the college among its adult and professional part-time courses and confirmed on VTCT’s own register of qualifications approved for the North Star Campus. The college has promoted the course as a retraining route for adults moving into barbering, and delivers it alongside VTCT hairdressing qualifications at Level 2 and hair and beauty apprenticeships from the same site. Anyone researching this provision should note that the former Swindon College website is no longer the live course directory for these courses.
