SYNTH Barbers & Academy, Vilnius
SYNTH runs a beginner barber course from Pamėnkalnio in central Vilnius, and it is explicitly designed for people with no barbering experience at all, which distinguishes it from most of the Lithuanian market, where courses often assume you can already cut.
The course runs eleven weeks and costs 3,400 euros including a professional tool kit, or 2,800 euros if you bring your own equipment. The next cohort starts at the end of September 2026 with a live seat counter showing three of eight places remaining at the time of checking, small groups with individual attention, in a practice-led format. Teaching is by the salon’s founder, an international product-brand ambassador, alongside a second lead instructor and working barbers from the SYNTH salons. The academy states it has trained around 40 professional barbers since 2022. Author-led seminars also run periodically, though without published dates. No certificate is mentioned anywhere, so ask what you leave with. One note: the page still carries a superseded earlier start date alongside the current one, so confirm which cohort you are joining.
One point applies across all five Lithuanian providers here: none of them appears in the state register of vocational training programmes, and none is funded through the employment service. Every certificate in this market is the academy’s own. That is not unusual for barbering in Lithuania, the trade is entered through private training and shop-floor experience, but it does mean you should judge these on the teaching and the price rather than on any implied official standing.
