Syntra AB – Opleiding Barbier

Syntra AB is part of the official Flemish public network for trade and entrepreneurial training, which makes it a materially different proposition from the private academies listed alongside it. Kapper is a regulated trade in Belgium, and Syntra is the recognised route into it.

Barbier is a one-year programme in the beauty, wellness and care sector, covering the full range of men’s work: basic and old-school cutting with scissors and clippers, beard and moustache trimming and lining, traditional straight-razor shaving, fades, and barbershop customer service. A second year, Barbier Expert, is available at the same Antwerp campus for those continuing. The Antwerp campus is at Post X in Berchem, and the same programme runs at eight other campuses across Flanders including Ghent, Bruges, Leuven, Kortrijk and Brussels. Neither the lesson-hour count nor the price is published on the public pages, so contact the campus directly for both, but as public network provision, expect it to compare well against private academy fees.
