Syntra West – Barbier

Syntra West is the West Flanders arm of the official Flemish training network, teaching from its Bruges campus in Sint-Michiels. Like its sister organisations it sits inside the public system for the regulated kapper trade rather than issuing a private certificate.

What distinguishes Syntra West is that it splits barbering into several distinct entry points rather than offering one programme. There is a main Barbier course, a dedicated evening programme for people working during the day, a course specifically for complete beginners, and a separate one for qualified hairdressers adding barbering to an existing skill set. The evening programme is described as practice-oriented training in men’s cuts, fades, beard care and shaving techniques. That structure is genuinely useful: it means you are not paying for foundation content you already have, or being dropped into an advanced group without the basics. Durations, lesson hours and prices are not published on the public pages and need establishing directly with the campus.
