The Barber Academy Australia delivers the nationally recognised SHB30516 Certificate III in Barbering, which it offers under the registration of Propel Education Group, RTO code 41209, listed on the national training register at training.gov.au. Working with a registered training organisation means graduates receive a qualification recognised nationally rather than a certificate issued only by the academy itself.

The Certificate III in Barbering is the standard entry qualification for the trade in Australia and covers clipper and scissor cutting, fading and tapering, beard shaping and grooming, shaving with a razor, hair and scalp treatments, client consultation, and the infection control and workplace safety units required to work in a commercial barbershop. Alongside the accredited programme the academy runs shorter skills workshops for barbers already in the trade.
