The Hair & Beauty Co – American Crew Academy
The Hair and Beauty Company is an Irish salon and barber supplier based at Ballybane Industrial Estate on the Tuam Road in Galway, and runs short courses in hair, beauty, nails and barbering. Its American Crew Academy barber course is a one-day Look and Learn seminar running from 9.30am to 3pm, built around instructor demonstration rather than hands-on practice.
The session works through three foundation men’s haircuts, a structured length cut, a clippered weight medium taper and a clippered linear cut, and the cutting and styling skills behind them. It is aimed at beginner to intermediate stylists and barbers building a regular client base, and is led by Chris O’Riordan, a barber from Co. Kerry who works with the American Crew All-Star Education Team. Attendees receive an American Crew Look and Learn Academy certificate, which is not a full barbering qualification.
