Tricoci University of Beauty Culture - Barber School

Tricoci University of Beauty Culture operates campuses across Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin, and offers its barber program at select Illinois locations, including Bridgeview, Rockford and the Norwood Park campus on Chicago’s northwest side. The Illinois barber course requires 1,500 clock hours and is listed at Bridgeview as a part-time schedule of roughly 17 months. Coursework covers cutting, shaving, grooming and styling, with instruction in working across varying hair types, and students complete hands-on clinic hours serving the public alongside classroom theory.

The program is intended to prepare graduates to sit for the state licensing examination, and the school notes that required hours and exam requirements differ from state to state. Tricoci is accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences. New classes begin approximately every six weeks, and barber instructor training is also offered at the Bridgeview campus.
