Wahl Barber Academy Chicago

Wahl Barber Academy operates on West Higgins Road on Chicago’s northwest side and is run by Pivot Point Academy, which describes it as a research school for Pivot Point International and Wahl Clipper Corporation. It is licensed as a barber school by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, and is accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences without provisions or limitations.

The academy offers a 1,500-hour barber program, a barber crossover course that credits up to 1,000 hours for holders of a current Illinois cosmetology license, and barber teacher training. The curriculum covers traditional and modern cutting and shaving techniques along with sanitation, customer service and entrepreneurship. Full-time and part-time schedules are available, with class hours running into the evening Monday through Thursday. An on-site student barbershop provides supervised client work with the public.
