Zeus Barber Academy
Zeus Barber Academy runs from a two-site barbershop group in Varna, in the city centre on Han Omurtag and in the Levski district. The business shows the clearest signs of activity of any Bulgarian entry here, with thousands of customer reviews and a regularly updated site.
The course, Barber from Zero, runs five weeks intensive at 1,500 euros with instalment payment available, and is deliberately kept small at two to four students per group, among the smallest cohorts in this directory, which is worth something at this price. Content covers instruments, hygiene and safety, fade technique, scissor work, beard grooming, classic and commercial cuts, client consultation and professional service standards. Practical training is on live models with instructors who are working barbers rather than full-time teachers, and job placement support is offered. The next group is advertised for October, with exact dates issued after you apply. On the credential: the academy refers to a state diploma alongside its own completion certificate, but no NAPOO licence number appears anywhere, so treat the state element as unverified until they give you the number.
On Bulgarian credentials: a state-recognised vocational document can only be issued by a training centre licensed by NAPOO, the national vocational education agency, and licensed centres publish their licence number. Several Bulgarian barbershop academies advertise a state or ministry certificate without naming a licence number or a licensed partner centre. Ask which licensed centre issues the document and what its number is.
